6.0 Specialized Operation Training
COURSE DESCRIPTION: As companies grow, they tend to develop operating procedures which are unique to their particular workplace, such as, security and asset protection, the use of specialized equipment, inventory control, loading dock operations, or workflow operations. Whatever the specialized process is, it works only as well as the employees use the system.
Specialized Operations Training (SOT) programs are designed to provide employees with detailed guidance on work operations specific to their companies. The customized courses are carefully integrated systems of written guidelines, audio-visual presentations, and testing. The entire course is performance-based: employees are trained using real-work scenarios, and tested under conditions similar to the actual workplace.
BENEFITS:
- Bottom-line impact when operations costs are related to any of the following: quality control, speed/efficiency, asset loss, security violations.
- Powerful protection of your liability from claims of “I didn’t get that information and “No one told me…”. This is especially critical in handling loss prevention/asset protection cases, worker’s compensation claims and safety violations.
- Testing data from the course for your retention and use.
COLLABORATIVE PROCESSES:
- A thorough analysis of the possible training populations is conducted to assist in development of the best training tools.
- Consultants will work with the company to develop course content addressing the policies and procedures for the training. The course will utilize realistic scenarios and graphics from the workplace.
- A set of test questions with mutually acceptable performance standards is developed. A test is devised to evaluate mastery of the materials.
- A customized SOT course, which reflects company policies, best practices, and performance-based (measureable) objectives, is developed.
- Company trainers are trained to utilize the course effectively.
WHAT THE COMPANY RECEIVES:
- Five participant copies of their customized program, containing descriptive content, exercises, and testing criteria.
