Course 0400 ISO 9001:2008 Overview

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this course is to explain the ISO 9001:2008 Standard.

Course 0400A is intended for companies who are already familiar with ISO 9001:2000. This class identifies the format and philosophy change from the old standard to the new one. It also identifies additional requirements present in the new standard

Course 0400B is intended for companies who have never been compliant to any version of ISO 9001. It is a complete review of the new ISO 9001:2008 Standard.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:
The student will learn the criteria for compliance to ISO 9001:2008, including the elemental components of an acceptable Quality Management System.

When finished, the student will be able to compare his/her own company’s Quality Management System against the ISO 9001:2008 Standard. The student will be equipped to perform an internal gap assessment and define corrective action items to come into compliance.

Course 0401 Documenting to ISO 9001:2008

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The student is shown the methods for documenting processes for compliance with ISO 9001:2008. This includes the generation of a Quality Manual (Level 1 Documentation), a Quality Management System (Level 2 Documentation), Processes and Procedures (Level 3 Documentation) and Forms and Records (Level 4 Documentation). The typical student will be from Quality or Documentation.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:
The student will learn how to generate:

· Quality Manual describing the Quality Management System

· Quality Plans and Goals related to specific products and projects

· Specifications for the product or service provided

· Procedures, Work Instructions and Drawings

· Records of compliance

· Customer surveys

· Records of meetings

· Action Item lists

Course 0402 Auditing to ISO 9001:2008

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The student is developed into an internal auditor capable of auditing all internal processes against the ISO 9001:2008 Standard. An entire audit system is defined for the student to implement, including schedules and corrective action systems. The typical student will be from any functional group within the company.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:
The student will learn:

· Preparation for Audits

· Auditor Interrogation Skills

· Auditor Sampling Techniques

· Assigning Non-Conformances

· Generating Audit Reports

· Follow-up Audits

· Generating Management Review Summaries

The student will have a chance to exercise these techniques in a series of workshops.
