AS9100 AUDITOR

This course focuses on training new QMS internal auditors about their roles and responsibilities as an auditor. The requirements of AS9100 (aerospace) and ISO 9001 (generic) quality management systems are reviewed as part of the course content.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The quality system auditor class has several objectives:

• Review / summarize the system requirements as defined in ISO 9001 & AS9100. Highlight and discuss similarities / differences between the two standards.
• Identify the purpose, responsibilities, attributes and methods etc. of internal audits and the role of being an internal auditor.
• Emphasize the importance of good comprehensive auditing of the companies policies / procedures & work instructions specific to the quality system.

Each attendee will need to bring a copy of their organization’s quality manual, internal audit procedure & and related work instructions / forms they use as part of the internal audit program. A copy of their corrective / preventive action procedure would also be helpful. One additional copy for use by the instructor would be helpful.

This is not a procedure / process development class. The expectation is that the organization already has a documented QMS process, is certified or close to certification, and simply needs auditors trained / oriented to perform the audits to the existing QMS requirements.

Upon completion of the course each participant will receive a Blackfox AS9100 Auditor’s certification.
