1.0 Through Hole Soldering

This program will provide your instructor(s) with the knowledge & materials necessary for implementation and/or the continuing education of your workforce. Instructor candidates will receive the instructional materials necessary to qualify learners in acceptable Through Hole soldering and touch-up techniques. The course is designed to be flexible to meet the needs of learners with little or no knowledge in soldering, or learners who are seeking skill enhancements.

OBJECTIVES:
Upon successfully completing this learning activity, instructors will be qualified to conduct this effective competency based skill course for your workforce. Instructors will obtain and demonstrate the ability to:

  • Identify the correct solder tip for a task
  • Correctly use hand tools
  • Correctly form and mount components
  • Create acceptable solder joints to industry standards
  • Inspect work for conformance to the standards
  • Perform touch up tasks
  • Conduct group learning activity
  • Successfully pass the Instructor’s exam with a score of 90% or better

2.0 Surface Mount Soldering

Instructor candidates will receive the instructional materials necessary to qualify learners in basic and/or advanced acceptable Surface Mount soldering and touch-up techniques. The course design will allow instructors flexibility in conducting learning sessions to meet the needs of learners with little or no knowledge in soldering, or individuals wishing to enhance their Surface Mount soldering skills. This course also includes material to instruct modules for fine pitch technology.

3.0 Combination Through Hole & Surface Mount Soldering

This is a combination program providing your instructor(s) with the knowledge & materials to conduct two of the Blackfox soldering series courses described in 1.0 and 2.0.

 

OBJECTIVES:
Upon successfully completing this learning activity, instructors will be qualified to conduct Through Hole and Surface Mount Soldering sessions. Instructors will complete all objectives identified in 1.0 and 2.0. Instructor will obtain and demonstrate the ability to:

  • Identify the correct solder tip for a task
  • Correctly use hand tools
  • Correctly form and mount through hole components
  • Correctly place surface mount components
  • Create acceptable solder joints to industry standards
  • Inspect work for conformance to the standards
  • Perform touch up tasks

5.0 Lead Free Surface Mount/ Fine Pitch

This program will provide your instructor(s) the knowledge and materials necessary to ensure quality skill learning, through the implementation and/ or the continuing education of your workforce. Instructor candidates will receive the instructional materials necessary to qualify learners in basic and/or advanced acceptable Surface Mount/Fine Pitch soldering and touch-up techniques. Overcome the fear and uncertainty concerning lead free soldering. Learn the terminology, the flow characteristics and changes in the appearance of lead free solder joints. This certification course covers, in detail, the latest requirements for lead free soldering and touch up of surface mount components. The course design will allow instructors flexibility in conducting learning sessions to meet the needs of learners with little or no knowledge in soldering, or individuals wishing to enhance their Surface Mount soldering skills. This course also includes material to instruct modules for fine pitch technology.

The purpose of this course is to provide instructors with the knowledge & materials necessary for implementation and/or the continuing education of the workforce. Instructor candidates will receive the instructional materials necessary to qualify learners in acceptable terminal & post soldering techniques.

 

This course is widely recognized in the industry and will benefit learners with little or no knowledge in terminal and post soldering, or learners who are seeking skill enhancements.

OBJECTIVES:
Upon successfully completing this learning activity, instructors will be qualified to conduct this effective competency based skill course for the workforce. Instructors will obtain and demonstrate the ability to:

  • Identify the correct solder tip for the task

1.0 Training for Impact

This course is an intensive approach for companies who are serious about using training to solve operational problems.

Learners will apply the fundamentals of course development and program delivery. Learners will design and practice delivery of a course, implementing a measurable system of learning (performance-based objectives) utilizing “Adult Learning Principles”. Learners will design performance-specific course evaluations, and apply that data throughout the organization.

Learners are requested to bring a real and existing training problem as the foundation for the course they will design and deliver.

OBJECTIVES:
During this course learners will:

  • Describe three elements of a performance-based training objective.
  • Describe the characteristics of specific training populations so that their training needs and challenges are met.
  • Identify all of the elements necessary to familiarize themselves with an existing training program.
  • Demonstrate methods for choosing and adapt training approaches for specific training populations, while effectively applying adult learning principles.
  • Demonstrate two methods of group instruction which include practical exercises
  • Deliver a 10-minute videotaped presentation for self-critique, and facilitate a group discussion, with no more than two aberrant (incorrect) behaviors in its delivery.
  • Identify five common classroom student-learning challenges, and apply possible and effective solutions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively cope with at least 10 dysfunctional classroom situations.
  • Design an effective evaluation tool to debrief the course they design.

2.0 Peer Trainer

All manufacturing and service related organizations expect their experienced employees to provide some, if not all, of the task related training a new employee will receive. Those designated trainers must be given the opportunity to produce well qualified employees that turn out consistently high products or services. The only way to ensure such an outcome is to teach these designated trainers a structured approach. This course does just that.

OBJECTIVES:
