Certification levels

CIS, CSE, CIT and MIT

  • CIS Certified IPC Specialist. The operator and inspector credential, taught against the current revision.
  • CSE Certified Standards Expert. For engineers and quality staff who apply the standard rather than build to it.
  • CIT Certified IPC Trainer. Allows you to train and certify specialists inside your own company.
  • MIT Master IPC Trainer. Certifies trainers. All Blackfox training is led by a Master IPC Trainer.

Before you choose a program

Which course applies to the work my team actually does?

Start from the category, not the standard number. Teams that build and solder assemblies usually need J-STD-001. Teams that inspect and accept finished assemblies need IPC-A-610. Harness work is covered by IPC/WHMA-A-620. If your team does two of these, the course finder will show the order we recommend.

How long is an IPC certification valid?

Certification is issued against a specific revision of the standard and is valid for two years. Renewal courses are shorter than the original certification and cover what changed in the revision.

Can training be delivered in Spanish?

Yes. Our Guadalajara and Querétaro centers deliver in Spanish and English, and live online sessions are scheduled in both languages. On site training at a customer facility can be delivered in either language.

What if the date we need is not on the calendar?

For five people or more we schedule a dedicated session, at your facility or at one of our centers. Send us the course, the number of people and the site and we come back with dates and a quote.
