Policy Coverage
This policy describes the practices of Blackfox Training Institute LLC ("Blackfox", "we", "us") regarding the collection and use of information that we may collect, or that you may provide, when you access blackfox.com or any other website, page, or online form operated by Blackfox, each individually a "Property" and together the "Properties".
Some activity takes place on platforms operated by third parties rather than on our own Properties. Our online store is one example. Where that is the case, the privacy policy of the platform operator also applies to your activity on it.
Protecting Your Privacy
Blackfox respects the privacy of visitors to its Properties. You can visit our Properties without providing any personal information. Certain features, such as quote requests, training registration, and newsletter signup, do require you to provide personal information. If you choose to provide personal information through one of our Properties, Blackfox will limit its use to Blackfox business purposes and may use it to:
- provide you with the information, training, products, or services you request;
- fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it;
- notify you when updates are available, and of any changes to the training, products, or services we offer.
We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction. In addition, we may disclose personal information that we collect or that you provide:
- to companies under common ownership with Blackfox, where they support the delivery of training or the administration of the same business;
- to contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business, for example hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and customer relationship management providers;
- to IPC, where disclosure is needed to register candidates, issue certification, or maintain certification records;
- for any purpose disclosed by us at the time you provide the information;
- with your consent;
- to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of the assets of Blackfox, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or a similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Blackfox about our users is among the assets transferred;
- to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request;
- where we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Blackfox, our customers, or others.
If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not access, register with, or use our Properties. By using our Properties, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of the Properties after changes are made is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please review the policy periodically.
Information Gathering
Blackfox may use or disclose your IP address, and data connection information, to help us diagnose problems with our servers and network, and to administer our Properties by identifying which parts of our Properties are most heavily used and where our audience comes from.
We also collect the information you give us directly. Depending on the form you complete, this may include your name, company, job title, email address, telephone number, preferred training location, and the details of your request.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for. After that, we keep it for as long as we are required to in order to meet our legal, tax, accounting, and certification record keeping obligations, and then we delete it or make it anonymous.
Use of Cookies
Cookies are text files stored on computers or mobile devices to support the usability and regular operation of websites and apps. Blackfox may use cookies to store information during and after a visit to our Properties. Cookies allow us to tailor our Properties to individual visitors, and to recognize returning visitors so that we can take account of their earlier choices and interests. Any information, including personal information, that you expressly choose to provide may be stored in a cookie. Your browser or mobile device can be configured to refuse cookies, or to notify you when a Property attempts to set one. Making that choice may reduce the usability of parts of our Properties.

Analytics and Advertising
Our Properties use analytics and advertising services provided by third parties, including Google, to measure how our Properties are used and to advertise to people who have visited us before. This can mean that we advertise to visitors who did not complete an action on our Properties, for example completing a quote request form. Advertising may appear on a search results page or on a site within an advertising network. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve advertising based on a person's earlier visits to our Properties. Any data collected is used in accordance with this privacy policy and with the privacy policy of the relevant vendor.
Email and Marketing Communications
If you subscribe to our newsletter or ask to receive training news, we use your name and email address to send you those communications. Every message includes an unsubscribe link and you can unsubscribe at any time. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop administrative messages that relate to a training registration you have already made.
Individual Accounts
Certain Properties allow individuals to create and maintain individual accounts. Where these Properties are concerned, individuals are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their accounts and passwords, and for restricting access to their computers or mobile devices. Individuals agree to accept responsibility for all activity that originates from their accounts.
Online Store and Payments
Purchases made through our online store are completed on a platform operated by a third party. Payment details you enter there are handled by that platform, under its own privacy policy and security practices.
Security Measures
Blackfox follows industry standard security measures to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Third Party Linked Sites
As a courtesy, our Properties may include links to third party websites. If you use these links, be aware that this privacy policy does not apply to those third party websites or apps. You use them at your own risk, and you should review the applicable terms and policies, including privacy and data gathering practices, of any site or app you navigate to from our Properties.
Children's Privacy
Our Properties are intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, and to opt out of targeted advertising or of the sale of personal information. Colorado residents have rights of this kind under the Colorado Privacy Act. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will take steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also set an opt out preference signal in your browser, and we will honor it where the law requires us to do so.
If we decline your request, you may appeal that decision by writing to us at the address below with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. We will respond to an appeal within the period required by applicable law, and if we deny the appeal we will tell you how to submit a complaint to the Colorado Attorney General.
