The jobs are there.
High school graduates move into skilled positions as hand solderers, quality inspectors and machine operators. Two and four year graduates go into manufacturing engineering, product design and project management.
Over 70% of electronics manufacturing companies in the United States face a shortage of qualified workers.
Blackfox trains young workers, sponsors STEM outreach, and partners with school districts and workforce organizations to connect the two.
Programs we are part of
- IPC STEM Outreach Experience at IPC APEX EXPO Blackfox sponsors the event and provides the training materials and instruction that teach over a hundred local high school students how to solder.
- Saint Vrain Valley School District Blackfox sits on the advisory committee behind the district's Advanced Manufacturing Academy, a multi-year series of high school courses in Longmont, Colorado.
- School to Work Alliance Program (SWAP) A Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation program for young adults with employment needs. Blackfox advises SWAP events across northern Colorado.
