The role

IPC Instructor, Longmont, Colorado

Delivering electronics manufacturing training, including IPC certification, to adults who already work in the industry.

  • Employment part time
  • Based at the Longmont training center, teaching mostly there
  • Travel to customer facilities, out of state possible but not required
  • You would certify operators, inspectors, engineers and other trainers
  • Across IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721 and IPC-6012
The courses you would teach

What the position involves

This position is responsible for delivering effective electronics manufacturing training, including IPC certification, to adult students from the electronics manufacturing industry. IPC Instructors primarily train and certify operators, inspectors, engineers and other trainers to one of six IPC certification programs: IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC J-STD-001, IPC 7711/7721 and IPC-6012.

The role is based in Longmont, Colorado and will primarily teach class there, or travel directly to the customer’s facility to conduct classes. Travel out of state is a possibility, but not a requirement.

What we are looking for

Candidates must have a minimum of five years of electronics manufacturing experience. That can include printed circuit board fabrication, circuit board assembly, or wire and cable harness assembly. Soldering experience with through hole or surface mount components and rework is highly preferred.

Candidates must have IPC training experience as a CIT or MIT, either currently or in the past. A current and valid Certified IPC Trainer certificate is highly preferred. Applicants must be able to work with little to no supervision and make appropriate and professional decisions.
