How a remote class runs
A live trainer, then a proctored exam
The lecture is delivered over a web conferencing service by a live Master IPC Trainer. You listen and follow the presentation on a computer or a phone, and you can ask questions and chat with the trainer throughout.

- Join the web conference with the Master IPC Trainer, ask questions live, and work through the presentation with the standard beside you.
- Certify
- Sit the exam on IPC EDGE 2.0 under remote proctoring, monitored by a combination of software and a person.

Before you register
Online training, asked often
How late can I register for an online class?
If a manual has to be shipped to you, seven days before the class starts for students in the United States, and ten days before for students outside it. If you already hold the standard, later than that is usually possible — ask.
What does the exam need from my computer?
Administrative rights on the machine, a microphone and a webcam. A small piece of proctoring software has to be installed. The platform uses both software monitoring and a human proctor to confirm the exam is taken under IPC policy.
Do I have to attend the lecture to be certified?
No. Any student can take the certification exams on their own. The only requirements are access to the IPC document you are certifying against, and a computer that meets the remote proctoring requirements.
Is the class taught in Spanish as well?
Yes. Online IPC training and certification is delivered in either English or Spanish. The calendar says which language each date runs in.
