Ooi Cheng Keat (CK Ooi) started working with Intel Penang in 1976 as a production supervisor. In 1991, he joined Solectron Penang, as Training Section Head. He obtained his IPC-A 610B CIT Certification in the mid 1990 and later as the MIT in Solectron. Since then, he has trained numerous CIT and hundreds of CIS while he was with Solectron, the company was later acquired by Flex in 2007.
CK Ooi has developed and conducted hands-on soldering skills training, conducted GMP programs such as Pola-Yoke, 5S, ESD, Lean Manufacturing and Problem Solving and Decision-Making courses during his working career as Asia Reginal Training Director in Solectron and Flex.
After 33 years working in the electronic industry, he left the company and started to collaborate with Blackfox/Techment as a MIT since 2019.
CK Ooi is a Master IPC Trainer (MIT) for the following courses :
- IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 Acceptability of Wire and Cable Assemblies
CK Ooi is a Malaysia HRDF Certified Trainer, and HRD Corp Accredited Trainer, thus all his training programs are HRDF claimable in Malaysia.
